MRCAC Customized Trainings

 The following customized trainings are offered upon request. For more information, or to schedule a training please contact Kim Martinez.

This one day training is designed specifically for non-medical providers working in child abuse. This would include law enforcement, C.P.S. workers, forensic interviewers, prosecutors, and others.

Individual customized medical trainings can be arranged for specific CACs and their surrounding service area or for collective groups.

This training is for professionals from various disciplines who participate in a multidisciplinary team and wish to develop and enhance team skills and relationships.

This training provides a general perspective to child advocacy centers on different cultural issues.

This training is geared to address both the new and experienced board member in understanding their role on the board, their responsibilities in helping the CAC achieve its goals and mission.

This training works with CACs on developing objectives and achievable goals during a facilitated process.

The mentoring programs offered by the MRCAC address how directors/managers can approach change in a positive manner, understand why change is important and increase awareness of how change affects both individuals, the organization as a whole and provide strategies on how to manage and adapt to the change process.

Nationally Offered Trainings

This 3-day course for Chapter Directors is rooted in the belief that facilitative behaviors and skills are essential for working successfully and collaboratively with groups.

The intersection of law and medicine can be quite challenging and, at times, daunting for both professions. In child abuse cases, navigating this uncomfortable territory is the rule rather than the exception.

This training is specifically designed for professionals who have responsibility for initial forensic interviews of children.

This training is designed for current SANE nurses who need the pediatric portion of SANE training to conduct the child sexual abuse exams.

A training specifically designed for CAC directors or other with direct responsibility for developing an application for NCA Accreditation or Re-Accreditation.

This conference is designed specifically for leaders in the Children’s Advocacy Center movement. NCA’s Leadership Conference is the only such event providing education, networking and advocacy opportunities for CAC directors and leaders. Sessions are led by nationally recognized trainers and peer presenters. This year the conference will be held from June 6th - June 9th, 2010 in Washington D.C.

This training seeks to address the basic issues of managing a CAC for the new director.

This training is for Children’s Advocacy Center staff/multidisciplinary team members wishing to enhance their skills as facilitators of team meetings.
