Marcia Milliken serves as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Children’s Alliance, a statewide coalition of Children’s Advocacy Centers and Multidisciplinary Teams throughout Minnesota. Ms. Milliken graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, holds a master’s degree in legal studies from the University of Illinois at Springfield and professional certification in Nonprofit Management from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Milliken serves as a national accreditation site reviewer for the National Children’s Alliance and an adjunct faculty member for Athens State University.

Ms. Milliken brings over 20 years of experience working with survivors of child sexual abuse and sexual assault. She developed and managed a 7-county sexual assault advocacy program which included providing 24-hour medical and legal advocacy, operating a 24-hour crisis hotline, recruiting and managing over 50 volunteers and training first responders and investigators. While at the Sangamon County Child Advocacy Center, Ms. Milliken served as a forensic interviewer, advocate and multidisciplinary team coordinator. Just prior to coming to Minnesota, Ms. Milliken was an Associate Director for the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Illinois. In that position, Ms. Milliken established Illinois’ first forensic interview training program.

Ms. Milliken is committed to ensuring all children reporting abuse have access to comprehensive multidisciplinary team services.
