Medical Training Academy: Pediatric/Adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Course (PSANE)

Medical Training Academy: Pediatric/Adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Course is for medical professionals who are seeking Pediatric/Adolescent SANE training/certification. This course is specifically targeted for nurses/advanced practice nurses who seek SANE training that meets International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) criteria and will meet the didactic portion necessary to sit for the IAFN SANE certification exam. Course content was updated and reviewed in 2022.

Length: PSANE includes 44 hours of course content.

Course Schedule: Students will need to complete the content within the three month period each section is offered. The next session of the course is planned for Winter 2024: January 1, 2024 – March 31, 2024.

Credits: This program is approved for 44 contact hours.

This continuing nursing education activity is approved by the International Association of Forensic Nurses, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Enrollment: Registration for the Winter 2024 Session will be open from December 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024 at https://www.mrcac.org/elearning/winter2024psane/, and the course content will be accessible beginning January 1, 2024.
