Forensic Interviewer Journal Club

For 2025, we're excited to announce a new format designed to enhance our discussions. Instead of four call options each quarter, we will now offer two. Each quarter, you will receive the selected articles along with two-time slots to choose from, allowing you to attend the session that best fits your schedule without the need for pre-registration this year. You will receive reminders a week before and on the day of the session, and you just need to complete a brief sign-in form to join.

Quarterly Call Schedule:

• 2nd Tuesday, 12:30 - 1:30 pm CST
• 4th Wednesday, 2:00 - 3:00 pm CST

Calls will continue to be held quarterly in January, April, and October, with a guest presenter featured in July.

For each one-hour call, two pertinent journal articles related to the area of child abuse and forensic interviewing are discussed. Topics for journal articles are generated from input from the participants and located utilizing the National Children's Advocacy Center's Child Abuse Library Online (CALiO). The articles are then sent to the participants to read in preparation of the call. There is a moderator for each call to help the call flow efficiently. Any follow-up of requested/distributed information is done by the coordinator.
